Ortho-Bionomy™
Certified by Dr. Alan Saxton in 1998 founder and developer of the Ortho-bionomy association. Ortho-Bionomy ™ helps a person recognize the state of their own limitations, helping a person re-discover how to keep their body functioning in a harmonious way. The goal of Ortho-Bionomy is to find the position of most comfort to the client. The position of comfort helps facilitate change in stress and pain patterns. Isometric and isotonic techniques are used when working with inefficient muscular tension patterns as well as underdeveloped muscle tone. This system also affects the structural balance as well as the individual’s physical and emotional well-being.
Equissage™
Certified in Equissage™ by Mary Schreiber in 2003 and a member of the International Equine Sports Massage Association.
Equine Sports Massage Therapy is the therapeutic hands-on application of professional human sports massage techniques, as applied to the equine athlete. It can be used to enhance performance of the equine athlete. It is useful in improving circulation, enhancing muscle tone, relaxing muscle spasms, preventing and relieving adhesions and increasing the range of movement.
Equine sports massage will be both physically and psychologically relaxing for your horse. Its purpose is to maintain healthy muscle function by uncovering and treating the causes of muscle related problems before they have a chance to result in injury.
